SRS SKIN REMODELLING

Safe, gentle and effective. This treatment uses radio frequency to produce a firming effect in lax, loose skin. MICRODERMABRASION

Microdermabrasion using our Dermapod is the ultimate rejuvenation treatment which begins with skin resurfacing. By removing the upper layers of the epidermis, the skin becomes more receptive to photo treatments and micro currents.

LACTOBOTANICAL PEEL

How do Lactic acid peels differ from other chemical peels? Lactic acid peels are gentle and non-toxic to skin cells and are more of a superficial peel. They require minimal to no prepping depending on the strength of the peel being performed. They promote natural moisturisation of the skin and aid in the elimination of pigmentation and sun damaged skin. Lactic acid peels can also be used to strengthen a skin with an impaired barrier function and are also a very gentle way of treating inflammatory acne conditions. LED LIGHT THERAPY

LED Light Therapy is a painless, non-invasive treatment used to treat a wide range of dermatological conditions, such as acne, sun damage and general aging of the skin. High-output, light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are used at digerent wavelength settings depending on the specific concern.  For example, in the case of acne treatment, the LED setting used will emit light only at the wavelength that skin bacteria is highly sensitive too, hence dramatically reducing the level of bacteria which reduces the developement of further acne. Alternative wavelength settings can also be used to generate photomodulation, a process in which specific light energy triggers the skins own cellular activity, aiding overall rejuvenation.  LED Light Therapy is not only effective but is one of the safest and most affordable ways to achieve more even, younger-looking skin.

DERMABLADING

A Safe Alternative to Chemical and Cloth Exfoliation.

The Go-To treatment for all of our clients. It’s an amazing type of “manual exfoliation” Now we can do Microdermabrasion but there is less control over how much of the surface is removed.  Also, alot of the redness associated with Microdermabrasion is eliminated by choosing this method.

Dermaplaning removes Peach Fuzz making makeup application smooth and flawless and it also removes the outermost layers of dead skin cells leaving the skin immediately smooth, supple and vibrant. Derma planing (blading) is another non-traumatic method of skin rejuvenation.

How is this treatment performed?
It is safely performed by using a #10 scalpel blade (that’s right! A sterile surgical blade). The blade is held against the skin at a 45-degree angle and stroked along the skin, just like shaving. This technique takes a long time to master. So make sure your technician has thousands of procedures under his or her belt.

Is this Treatment Safe?
This treatment, when professionally trained, is extremely safe. There is no more risk to the skin than when a man shaves his face. As long as the practitioner has adequate training, the treatment should be very easy and quick.

Myth: If you are ‘blading” the skin on the face, the hairs on the face grow back thicker. FALSE. It is physiologically impossible for your fine facial hairs to grow back thicker. If this were true – every time you shaved your legs or underarms – the hair would become thicker. Hair thickness and structure has more to do with hormones and heredity – than razors.

Why did the hair on my daughter’s leg come in thicker after she shaved for the first time? Hormones, probably. Of course, add puberty into the mix and you will see plenty of changes within your child’s physical structure.

Can dermaplaning cause the skin to bleed?
Of course. In all honesty, it can. I am using a scalpel. But the incidence of cutting into the skin is slim. However, I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and it has become natural to me.

How often is this procedure performed?
I recommend blading be performed every 3 – 4 weeks. Think of it as routine care. Blading the skin actually removes about 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells. I would not recommend treating the skin more often than that.

Can blade or derma planning is performed with a chemical peel?
Absolutely. Micro Peel and Micro Peel plus being with Blading then we add either lactic or glycolic or both to the skin for a fantastic result.

Does the skin actually peel from Derma Planing?
Sometimes the skin does peel after derma planing. If the procedure is done at a 2 week interval, then the skin cycle has not been completed. Thus, you are blading skin that does not really need to be peeled yet and peeling can occur.

What skin types/conditions can be treated?
All skin types can benefit from derma planing or blading, however, I would not recommend this treatment for those suffering from acne and an over production of the sebaceous gland. The oils from the sebaceous gland need to travel up and connect with the various hair.
